Output Guide
Whether you have a digital or a film camera or an original print, every format has limitations on maximum printable size. Whilst its true that we can print at relatively any size, images only hold so much information. If you print a very large image, artefacts such as grain, dust, digital noise, compression...etc... start to become more visible. You would also notice that the image looses its sharpness and generally looks softer. In some cases the image can also start to look muddy.
So, is there an easy way to find out the maximum print size from your original, be it digital, film or print? In a word, yes. We at CC Imaging have compiled a list of input to output sizes. These represent how large your original is (input) and how large we can print it (output). Please be aware that these are our subjective opinions on the maximum size/best results. If you wish to print larger then we will be happy to accommodate.
